MEET THE CREW
Isaiah Jones | Owner
Isaiah’s journey in construction began in his teens working in a small family owned cabinet shop in NC. During the 4 years he worked there, he acquired the skills of precision and attention to detail. From there he ventured north to New Hampshire where learned the craft of timber framing. It was here that he developed a passion for carpentry (especially timber framing). When he was 21 he built a timber frame cabin on his family farm in Illinois.
Isaiah's career took a significant turn when he joined an Amish Mennonite crew out of Illinois, building commercial chicken barns across the Midwest. It was here that Isaiah took on more of a leadership role as a Lead Carpenter and Foreman, with some projects being up to 19,000 square feet. He also worked for one year as a site manager for a timber frame company in IL. In 2020, he took on a foreman position for a pole building company in IL and built a large variety of post frame structures, everything from small livestock buildings to houses to an airplane hangar.
And then in 2023, he moved to the Driftless region of Wisconsin and started Driftless Pole Buildings. Isaiah now lives in Viola with his wife and their four children.
Chris Washington | Carpenter
Chris Washington joined Driftless Pole Buildings (DPB) in 2024, bringing with him over 20 years of invaluable experience in the construction industry. His extensive background spans various aspects of construction, from project management to hands-on building, making him an integral part of our team. In addition to his professional expertise, Chris is also deeply committed to the discipline of jiu-jitsu. Chris owns and operates a successful gym in La Crosse, where he inspires and trains individuals of all skill levels. Chris's dual dedication to construction and martial arts exemplifies his exceptional work ethic, discipline, and commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
